Welcome to Kolb Middle School!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Kolb Middle School! My name is Dr. Tina Lingenfelter, and I am honored to serve as Principal of Kolb Middle School. With more than 18 years of experience in education, beginning my fourth year at Kolb, and as a proud Kolb alumna, I remain committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment where every student is challenged, supported, and empowered to succeed. As a Nationally and California Recognized School to Watch, Kolb is committed to excellence through high expectations, strong partnerships with families, and meaningful opportunities that prepare every student for future success. Con más de 18 años de experiencia en educación, al comenzar mi cuarto año en Kolb y como orgullosa exalumna de Kolb, sigo comprometida con crear un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro, inclusivo y académicamente riguroso donde cada estudiante sea desafiado, apoyado y motivado para alcanzar el éxito. My name is Cynthia Latham, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of Kolb Middle School. With several years of experience in education and school leadership, I am deeply committed to supporting our students, staff, and families to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed both academically and socially.

At Kolb, we believe that middle school is a critical time for students to grow as learners and as individuals. My role is to help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to take responsibility, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need for high school and beyond. I work closely with our teachers, counselors, and families to support student achievement, promote positive behavior, and ensure that every student feels seen, supported, and challenged.

It is a privilege to serve the Kolb community, and I look forward to partnering with our students and families to make this a successful and rewarding school year.

Hello Kolb families,

My name is Danielle Morris, and I’m excited to join Kolb Middle School as the Assistant Principal. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this community and look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and families.

I have spent the past several years working in education, most recently serving as a Dean of Students. Throughout my time in schools, I’ve found that the most meaningful part of this work is building relationships with students and supporting them as they grow both academically and personally. Middle school is such an important time, and I believe schools should be places where students feel supported and known.

I value working closely with teachers and families to help create an uplifting school climate where students can be successful. My goal is to help maintain a school culture where both expectations are clear  and everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Outside of school, I’m a mom of three, so I understand the importance of communication and partnership between school and home. I’m looking forward to being part of the Kolb community and supporting our students throughout the year.
